A Week Of Being Happy And Making Others Happy
It's impossible to always be happy but the aim of this past week was to be optimistic?
So how was this week for me? hmm, it's been kinda cool =] We can really make someone's day by appreciating that person. Even a simple 'hello' would do! For me, there's this uncle in school that waits for everyone to leave the school, make sure every room is locked before he locks up the whole school and be the last person to leave the school. I feel sorry for him having to have to tell us students a million times to clear the school when it's late before we actually do so. And he seems to hold alot of negative memories with him, causing him to always look so grouchy..
When I saw him this week I said 'hello uncle' to him and he looked so happy! He smiled back(seldom see him smile) and replied me with a 'hello' in a cheerful tone! It sure felt good =]
Come to think of it, how many people in the school actually bother to say hi to these people that are doing service unto the school? Let's learn to appreciate the people around us! =] I'm sure it'll also inspire the people around us =]
Also, when buying drinks and all, rather than just getting our soon to be digested items and then walk away, lets learn to thank the person who serves us the food! And also when they ask us a question, let's reply them verbally rather then just nodding our heads, it's just different! HAHA!
If You're reading this, I wana challenge you to interact with the aunty and uncles in your school. Be it the canteen uncle, the cleaner, etc... And also, write them a thank you card, they'll feel touched =] Let's be a light unto the world! =]
