Dad, Are You Free Now?
It was late in the night, a dad was at his working desk working on something on his laptop, while his eight year old son was at a table in front of him attempting some math questions. The little boy stumbled upon a math question he could not solve. He wanted to consult his father but he saw how busy his father was. Not wanting to distract his dad from his work, the little boy hid his face behind his math book, taking a peak at his father every minute, hoping his father would be done with his work on the laptop. It was pass 11pm and the dad was still working on his laptop.
"Son, is there something wrong?" The dad asked as he noticed his son constantly peaking at him.
In an innocent and curious voice, the little boy asked, "Will I be disturbing you if I ask you to help me with a math question?"
"Well, I certainly can make time for that! What's the question?" The dad answered as he shook his head twice to keep himself awake before he gave his son the "yes My Son?" face.
This was a scenario that came to my mind two days ago during a free period in class.
Similar to the father in this story, despite the many prayer phone calls God receives from all over the world 24/7, if we were to also come to him in prayer, he would turn his attention towards us and say, "yes My Son?"
